We find that white mountain broilers have a quick growth habit and quality flavor. A 6-8 week turnaround means that the birds will be as tender as possible. Kentuckians know their chicken, so we have to make sure we have tasty birds to offer!
Antibiotics are wildly used in industrial, commercial production, but we feel that this creates an undo societal burden. Hormones are often used commercially, as well, to promote bigger, and ultimately, less healthy birds. This goes against our agricultural ethics.
Happy, healthy birds are pasture raised. This allows them to free graze insects, eat grass, dig roots and stretch their legs and wings! Contrary to mainstream producers, we believe in allowing our birds a bit of freedom.
